Principal & Owner
Dr. Daniele Lyman-Torres is an accomplished leader, educator, and consultant with over two decades of experience in human resources, leadership development, and higher education administration. She is the Founder and Principal of DLT Consulting, where she provides strategic advisory services in board governance, executive leadership, and organizational development to clients across the United States and internationally.
Dr. Lyman-Torres has over 25 years of executive leadership experience in nonprofit, government, healthcare, and higher education roles. She has served as Commissioner of Human Services for the City of Rochester, CEO for two nonprofit organizations, Chief Operating Officer for Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority, Chief Operating Officer for Trillium Health, Regional Executive Director for the United Way, and Director of Human Resources for a large nonprofit organization.
With a deep commitment to developing high-impact leaders and effective organizations, Dr. Lyman-Torres has worked with a wide range of institutions and executives, delivering training and facilitation services to nonprofit, governmental, and educational organizations. Her expertise in higher education has been demonstrated through her work with doctoral candidates as an Assistant Professor at the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education at St. John Fisher University and her prior service on the Board of Trustees for Roberts Wesleyan University.
A recognized authority in board governance and nonprofit financial sustainability, she has trained numerous nonprofit boards and currently serves on national and international boards, including the Board of Directors for Mercy Education System of the Americas—overseeing 55 K–12 schools across six countries—and the Children and Nature Network, a national organization committed to advancing children’s health and academic outcomes through nature-based engagement. She also serves as a trustee of Monroe Community College.
Dr. Lyman-Torres holds a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University, a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from Roberts Wesleyan University, and an Associate Degree from Monroe Community College, where she has been honored as a Hall of Fame alumna.
She and her husband Eric reside in Rochester, NY, where they enjoy family life with their six children.
